2013 Cayenne Loud hi-pitched noise coming from the back of the engine when hot only

I have a loud noise coming from the area at the back of my 2013 Cayenne when it gets hot. When the car is cold it sounds normal and operates as normal. I have put in a new water pump, tensioner, idler pulley, thermostat and belt. I the noise will go if you rev the engine above 1200rpm when stationary. It will also go if I put my leg on the bake, put it in drive and put the engine under a little strain. When the noise starts at idle the car engine revs up and down every 3 seconds to about 1100rpm on its own. I need to do a scan to see what the error is but has anyone come across this issue. Any advice greatly appreciated.
