There is a rubber bushing that I have to replace on the top of these year and half old front H&R front coil-overs (the pics are when new)........the bushing fits right into the top of the conical alluminum strut top.

As you can see, it's a 2 stage spring......top one probably is still too stiff to deal with?

So.......I'm going to need a spring compressor to get at this aren't I ?

Whether or not you need a spring compressor depends on whether the spring is compressed by the strut or by some other part on the car. From the picture it's hard to tell but the stock setup does not require a spring compressor.

By 'stock' you probably mean the OE struts?

Well........I'll put it up over the weekend, see what I have.......that top spring appears compressed a tad w/no load..........we'll see.
