Battery replacement with strange fault codes?

Reebuck1

Recommended Posts

Began having problems with the car when my new battery lost charge.  Tried to start car and it would not turn over.  Key locked in the ignition.   Followed instructions

on how to release key.  Went well except I lost the small plastic cover (as shown on page 22 of the operators manual) you need to reinstall to get the key to function.   Ordered a replacement piece and broke one of the small plastic legs that fit in the two slots to allow the key to work.  Super glued the tiny plastic leg back on and installed the small plastic cover in

the ignition.   The six month battery turned out to be a faulty battery.  Replaced for free.   Car sat for four hours (no power) while I picked up and installed the battery.   Put key in the ignition ...turned it ...all instrument lights came on but when turned to energize the starter nothing happened.  Would not crank at all...NOTHING.   Radio ,windows, instrument lights, blinkers and front lights all worked.

Took my Durametric and scanned for fault codes.   The results (44 fault codes) are on the attached file.

Pulled out my multi meter and checked all the fuses .... all appeared to be good.  Not sure where to go next.

Anyone have any thoughts??

Thanks Loran,

Cleared all Fault Codes and dropped from 44 to 11 fault codes.   Durametric Report in file below.   Noticed two things  1)   My right hand gauge that displays information

was showing TPM which I do not remember seeing before.    2) My emergence break would not manually shout off.

Tried to start the motor...same issue ...will not crank.   Front lights come on when key is turned to the start position.  Hood was open when I tried to start car.  The tire pressure faults are not correct because I filled all the tires before trying to start the car.   Tried to locate a clutch senser but found nothing above the clutch pivot like there is in my 986.

Is it a senser or the ignition switch or the DME not picking up a signal?    Not sure what it is?
