Hi, I have a 2012 Porsche Cayenne 3.0 V6 Diesel. My front lighter sockets (12v) were not working so I checked the fuses on the left side of dashboard. While removing, checking and replacing the fuses I heard a ping sound and when I went to the drivers side I noticed a Steering Locked message on the multi purpose display on the instrument cluster. My vehicle is right hand drive (South Africa). The message appears as soon as you enter the vehicle and remains on the display. There is however absolutely nothing wrong with the steering and it works perfectly. I took the vehicle to a workshop but the mechanic was unable to resolve the issue. I then took it to Porsche dealership and after about 1.5 hours they were also unable to resolve the issue. Next I took it to a auto electrical diagnostics technician. He removed, checked cleaned and replaced all the fuses (right and left side dash and fuses in engine bay). He also checked the relays and did a OBDII scan but no errors were detected. The issue occurred about 3 weeks ago.  Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated. At this point I cannot access the multi purpose display to for example set the time, check temperatures etc. Pressing back or any other button on the steering does nothing. Is there perhaps another way of accessing the multi purpose display besides the steering wheel?
