2006 Carrera Cab cruise control not working

Recommended Posts

My 2006 Carrera Cabriolet (6 speed manual) cruise control stop working, I have taken it to a shop that only services Porsche.  They replaced the brake, clutch and cruise control switches, checked the fuses, and I'm assuming they checked the speed sensor,(that was not noted on the service invoice), what was not inspected was cruise control switch on the column, or the cruise control cable).  has anyone else experienced this problem.

So it did work at one time?

Seems like a Porsche shop with a PST2 or PIWIS would be able to narrow it down more. Or at least try to reprogram it.

One hesitates to remove the steering wheel because of the airbag (spring) and some delicate wire connections. But in the end that may be required.

The cruise control did work, I took the car in because the ABS light came on intermittently, then while in the shop the service tech noticed that the PSM light came on and they fixed both those problems after that a few months later on a road trip and tried to set the cruise control and that when I noticed the problem.
