Boxster Factory Service Manuals

Recommended Posts

I am wondering if there are any websites that contain free versions of the 1997 FSM? if so, links please.

I am trying to track down a problem with my boxster in which the engine stalls at idle (most of the time) but runs fine under normal driving. There are no codes.

Thanks,

J

Before relying on such sites, just be aware that the original 1997 Boxster factory service manual was the subject of many revisions, corrections, and updates to correct erroneous information contained in the original edition, all of which were only available in the print version.  You also need to recognize that these manuals are considered the intellectual property of Porsche, a point which they vigorously litigate whenever they find someone violating their property rights.

As such, it is against this forum's rules to repost such materials or condone such behavior.

Thanks for the feedback.  I didn't realize the FSMs are considered IP.

What would really help is an assembly drawing of all the engine components and p/n beginning with the air intake, through air filter, maf, TB and ultimately into the cylinder head. I believe the car has a vacuum leak on the air intake side and I don't have a smoke machine.

I have the Bentley manual but it is sparse in this area.

Thanks

You can probably discern this type of information from either the PET system, or even a dealer's online parts system breakdown drawings.
