2001 Turbo rear lid switch works. opens and closes in one second but lid doesn't pop up 1/4 inch to get my fingers under the lid to prop up

Well, that pretty much says it all. The only way to lift the lid is have someone push the switch and instantly grab the bottom of the lid and lift. Otherwise is closes back up like it should.

I looked and somehow it should spring up a little like the front does. Anyone know why it doesn't raise that 1/4 inch?

Loren;

I massaged the latching/unlatching unit with white lithium grease and it started working.

Thanks for the info. Went to laguna seca last week. The whole Monterey week stuff. Loved the 935's.

Didn't see the GT1. Took the 996 Turbo. Spent 10 hours just watching the different classes of races sitting in

the suite. Paddock pass was awesome. Too crowded for me to go back but a once in a life time trip. 50th!

Monterey Historic Races are always fun. When I went (6 straight years) I enjoyed the Friday practice days as the car owners had more time to talk and share.
