Can't clear side mirror error codes.

I have a 2000 996.1 C4 Cab 6-speed. The passenger mirror did not work so I replaced the wire harness in the mirror and got it working (both the control switch and the seat/mirror memory operate the mirror). So now it works fine but I can't clear the two mirror coded 20 & 22. I am using the Durametric with a PC and when clearing the codes they just come back. I have tried the clear with the engine running and without. I have also tried disconnecting the battery for 1+ hour and no luck. Any suggestions?

If codes will not clear, that means the fault still exists and needs to be repaired for the code(s) to clear. 😉
