2008 Cayenne Turbo with 113k miles

Got a cel on the cluster that led me to scan codes (Autel MaxiAP200). Pulled a couple of boost adaption codes P1246 (boost pressure control adaption) and P1248 (basic boost pressure adaption).

Did some digging around the forums and figured it was probably a boost leak. After inspecting the hoses I discovered a huge tear in the small hose that comes off the “T” and goes to the driver side DV

I still need to replace the hose, but was able to temporarily patch it until I can get it replaced. I cleared the codes and took the car for a drive. It is now making full boost on the cluster gauge (.6bar before repair +.8bar after patch job)

The P1248 disappeared and has not returned, but the P1246 will not clear at all. I read on another forum regarding the P1248 that a PIWIS 2 is needed to adapt the turbo, but perhaps it can be fixed with a particular drive cycle.

Can anyone explain exactly what P1246 Boost Pressure Control Adaption means and what I need to do in order to clear the code for good?

Thanks,

Alex
