Passenger widow problem

Recommended Posts

Hi

this morning my passenger window has decided it doesn’t want to work properly anymore.the window still functions in the up and down and does so with no problems. The problem is that the automatic 1 press and the window goes action has stopped operating..the drivers side window works perfectly and still has the 1 press and it’s up action working ..Can anyone diagnose what the problem is with my passenger window?    Thank you for any help of advise

There may be a fault with the switch, something about a tab cracking away from the switch unit and dropping down into the mechanism. I'll try swapping the Left and right switches to see if has any affect. Will update in a couple of days when i get the time to try it.

Have you tried retraining the window?

Press and hold the down button - hold it for at least 10 seconds after the window is all the way down.

Then press and hold the up button - hold it for at least 10 seconds after the window is all the way up.

If the window does auto up and down after that you are done -- if not, then is likely a problem with the window regulator or adjustment.
