Hey all,

I recently picked up an 04 Boxster S and am trying to figure out how to re enable the stereo system after the previous owner sliced everything out of it. This car has the 4 speaker set up, non bose. The amplifier was cut out and the rest of the wiring is all sliced apart and I have no idea where to begin.

Including a picture of the wiring that was left. I have the amp, the larger plug for the amplifier (but certainly missing some wires from the harness) but no smaller plug for the amp.

What parts would I need to get this thing back to working order and can anyone link me the wiring guide for the amplifier harness? I found one for the inside but have no idea where each wire belongs on the amplifier side of things.

Thank you!

Diagrams are from my Bentley manual covering 1997-2004 Boxsters.

Note: these diagrams are for 2001, but there are no later years in this manual (maybe 2001-2004 are all the same?)ElecRadio(2).thumb.jpg.cc15aaeb33b90919232bd88ebf0b8dea.jpgElecRadio(3).thumb.jpg.66a0bb218532c70dc848981cb83112e7.jpgElecRadio(4).thumb.jpg.b27088a456a76ce488b649d725cdd9a7.jpg ElecRadio(1).thumb.jpg.b7dc01707bdc13b3c8d1e3e92212a4b5.jpg

Thank you! I am going to get the remaining harness I need to connect to the amp and see if I can sort this out.

Hi Dan. There is a ton of other information already posted on this site and the Pelican Parts website regarding diagrams, pinouts, etc which I’m guessing you may have already found? If you still have any questions though, I’m happy to try to assist as I’ve been researching this myself to try to get rear speakers fitted and working in mine with the 490 option pack (CDR-23 radio, Becker 6600 amp using MOST bus )

Good luck, let us know how you get on.
BTW, I also previously posted this diagram that might assist you:
