996 convertible

Problem:

Doors not locking when pressing key, pressing center dash lock button or if manually locking driver side door, passenger side remains unlocked.

Recent Change:

Changed passenger side door lock and window regulator. All locks worked prior to changing part. Part from Pelican Parts.

Pressing key fob:

1. No door lock but alarm single beep.

2. Drivers and passengers doors don't lock

3. Alarm is set, and will sound if opening doors

Manually lock drivers door:

1. Drivers door locks and remains locked

2. Passenger door does not lock nor does it sound like the lock mechanism moves at all

3. Alarm single beep

4. Open passenger door, alarm sounds

How to troubleshoot or fix?

See attached log file via Duremetric scan.

Important note:

Initially I installed a VW/Audi passenger door lock as it appeared to be the exact same. After installation, problem started.

I then purchased the passenger door lock via Pelican Parts thinking maybe the VW part wasn't a direct match.

Log file indicates "Occurance Counter: 1

12:

Wrong door lock module".

This could be from first VW module or new/existing module.

Any advice or steps on how to reset the ACM?log file.pdf
