Just purchased my first 911 cabriolet, a 1999 996 with 58k miles. Need help diagnosing why my driver's seat - only clicks heard from the relays below the seat when I push the seat adjustment buttons in any direction, no movements at all. Good news as mirrors and passenger seat works fine. Heater works on both seats. Have pulled top of seat up and accessed all three motors, jumped to each with a feed from battery and all motors worked. Fuses are correct at 30A in E3 and E4. Have pulled connections and re-plugged each into the modules under seat, ground wire undone and redone - clean no rust. Help!

Of course there nothing under the seat jamming the seat movement (it does happen).

Did the car ever leak and did the seat memory control module get wet?

Thank you Loren

Have inspected both seat rails and found no blockages. Noting all three motors do not move, only clicking at each of the relays inside the Control Module.

Unfortunately yes it is possible the CM got wet recently before I bought it from the salvage yard. The memory function does not work but the mirrors do work.

The motors actually work when I connect to them directly.

Appreciate your help

Thanks all ... Especially Loren.

Problem solved by replacing the Control Module as noted in diagram #1 above.

Bought a used one on eBay and dropped it in (disconnected the negative battery for good measure), all seat adjustments now work fine
