Does anyone know the exact size, offset, and weights of the OE 18 inch wheel for the 99 C2?

I think the size is 8x18 E52 For the front, don't know the weight

Rear 10x 18 E65, don't know the weight.

Thanks,

In MY99 all of the 18" factory front wheels were 7.5" except for the (then not sold in the US) GT3.

Most of the wheel weights were similar. For example -

Sport Design:

7.5J x 18 - ET50 - 25.13 lb

8J x 18 - ET52 - 26.45 lb

10J x 18 - ET65 - 28.88 lb

BTW... this info is in your Owners Manual (page194)

Loren - hate to bother you with such an esay question but I've never been able to "visualize" the meaning/value of offsets and wheelsize:

but now i'm contmeplating getting some 19" wheels for my car (2003 996 coupe). The ones I like are fronts 8Jx19 ET57 and rears 11Jx19 ET67. I have 7mm front spacers and 15mm rear spacers on my car now so I can keep these on(or remove them) if these will help in fitment of the wheels on my car.

So will these wheels work on my car????

Thanks a ton for any guidance or help! :(

Tire Rack has a really good explanation of offset here.

You have a couple of challenges here. Fact - we know 18 x 8 ET 40 and 11 x 18 ET 63 will work on a narrow body because they are used on the GT3 (mk2). So, now you have to wonder about clearance with a 19 wheel and the tires that will fit those wheels. Some tires may work and others may not. The places to check are inner suspension clearance (including shock rebound), outer fender lip, read swaybar, and tie rods in the front.

Because of the variety of tires out there you simply may not know until you (or someone else) try.

thanks Loren - that tech articles along with your description helped elucidate the concept. well, for now atleast :) ask me again in about 3 mos and that might be another story!

Will the 8.5 inch wheel fit on a C4 99 996?

Second question: will the following fit the same car? 18x8.5 et 50mm and 18x10.5 et 60mm.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. On the owner manual....problem is I don't have an owner's manual the prior car's owner seemed to misplace it. I guess it is time for me to buy an owners manual so I don't ask anymore stupid questions.
