I did the repair many moons ago on my brother-in-laws Turbo S with repair kit. He was in a bad financial shape and I think Porsche quoted him some stupid amount to fix it...I did it in 3-4 hours for $500 or something like that. 

 

A friend is now looking at a 92A with the 4.8 and the price is good because there is a coolant leak. Not sure where, how or why (yet) but thought I would start with my research here. Then I started wondering if the old plastic pipe issue still existed 10+ years later...or is this 4.8L a completely different engine/design?
