This was an awesome idea! However, I followed the instructions exactly as listed and my button does not work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Orient, Thanks for the excellent pics. I did my Opener mod a while back but I just had the remote behind the stereo which resulted in terrible range. I finally decided to move it up to the A Pillar as you did and it was a tremendous help. Especially the last pic of the location under the pillar. At the point you set it there is plenty of room but down lower is very tight and I was wondering where the heck to put the brains for the remote. Anyway, thanks again and you have a very beautiful well kept car. :renntech:

Did mine today. I got a used Homelink Rolling code transmitter off ebay. Got my switch from Suncoast. Push one direction to control one door and push the other direction to control another door. I got the back light power from the intermitten wiper switch below. I believe the wires were brown and blue w/ red stripe. I got the power from the phone connector. That is also were I put the remote for right now.

SWEET!! :renntech:

I want to do it too.

I live in a state condominium (neighborhood). I have 2 gates (one for entry, and another one for exit)

Could I use only one switch to open the 2 gates? My existing door opener has two buttons.

Will one button open both gates now? If not then you would need make sure you wire one homelink button to one side of the switch and one homelink buttom to the other side of the switch.

One button can open two doors/gates.

If the door/gates are far way from each other you can just tap them both to the same side of the switch.

If the door/gates are close by and you want to control them individually you can out one on each side of the switch.

Remember the switch can 'click' both sides.

Hope that makes sense?
