Reinstalling plastic cowling over brake fluid res?

I am trying to reinstall the plastic cowling that goes around the brake fluid reservoir in the trunk of a 2001 C2. It looks like the main plastic piece should be fairly easy to reinstall, however there is a smaller secondary plastic piece that looks kinda like a 3-dimensional L (part no. 996.610.149.00) and I can't figure out where this is meant to go.

I didn't remove the cowling originally, so I really don't have any idea how it should go back together. If somebody could describe how this should all fit or provide a diagram / picture of what these two pieces should look like when reinstalled I would really appreciate it.
