I don't have a Boxster parts cat. and need a part number. Does anyone know what the part number is for a 97 boxster conv top transmission lever arm that rotates and pushes the top up and down. This lever is bolted to the transmission and is approx 7 in long. it has mounting points at each end and pushes the arms up and down when operating he top. It is on the passengers side and it broke in half under pressure during operation. If anyone has this part number, I need it to order another.

Thanks

Steve

Where is a good source to buy Porsche parts from?

I have part numbers but can't find a website that sells these parts:

The part numbers are: 986.561.279.02 and 986.561.480.01

My soft top will not go down. The plastic cap on 986.561.279.02 broke and

the lever 986.561.480.01 is bent. This happened when I tried to lower my top, then I heard a loud sound like a gun shot. When I took the back panel the covers the soft top when it is down, I noticed these parts were broken and out of shape.

Any idea what caused this?

Is there a good site that has step by step instructions to install these?

Do I need any other parts?

What is the level of difficulty to fixing this?
