My 08 boxster displays both TPC and PSM inactive. I believe 2 tire sensors have failed.. since only 2 tires are reading pressure the other 2 just are blank. Just wondering if this would cause the PSM to shut down as well. Thanks v

The easiest way to find out is to scan the car with a Porsche specific scan tool like the factory PIWIS system.  When error displays are present, the DME will have specific codes which will point you both the problem component and the possible fixes.  Without those codes, everything else would just be guesses.

Good luck.

A Durametric can scan and provide you with the fault codes needed to help you solve your problem. The fact that the car cannot sense tire pressures in one, two or even all 4 tires would not affect the PSM (Porsche Stability Management) system.

A quick trip to a local tire place, even Walmart's auto/tire, can help you diagnose the 2 tire pressure sensors as these sensors can be scanned separately from the car's ECU. Once these are confidently working you can attack the other issue more directly without concern for the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) having caused the issue.

Regarding the PSM, let's make sure that you haven't turned it off manually? (Of course you haven't). Also, turning the car off/on would recycle the system back to "on". But, do you know if the manually actuated PSM button works or not? I think that there is a chance, albeit a very low probability, that the switch has gone bad and is providing an "off" signal to the car continuously. A Durametric can be helpful here to. It can allow you to test buttons.
