2004 Cayenne S 4.5L V8

I cannot for the life of me find the interior airbag sensor (LH side - passenger side for me).

Does anyone have a pic or can point me "exactly" where to look.

I've had the seat tilted up and can see the battery and connected wiring, but cannot find this **** sensor.

Thanks Loren.  I have seen this pic. Can you confirm where it is fastened underneath the seat? Is it attached to the floor of the vehicle behind the wiring next to the battery in an east west orientation?  Do I need to lift the carpet or remove the seat or can I see if I just tilt the seat back?

The one under the seat is for the side curtain airbag. I thought you wanted the front airbag sensor (behind the grill/bumper?

The code that I'm getting is P1222 Airbag Sensor (Passenger, front). I thought it was the front sensor in the bumper too. I have the bumper off and have checked both left and right side and they throw P1738 and 1739. I have checked both and they are fine.  I can only assume that P1222 is the sensor under the seat?

Success! I found the sensor under the carpet at the back of the seat (under the rear heater duct) attached to the floor.  Pulled out and replaced.  No more airbag P1222 fault.
