Hello,

I’ve look everywhere in this forum for this type of error, but I couldn’t find any solution to this problem on my 996.2 TT and I was wondering if someone can help me with this issue.

Every several minute while driving, the tiny red light on the left hand side appears with a chirping sound (attached photo) and I was wondering if anyone could help me resolve this issue.

Thanx in advance.

Thank you Loren for your info.

Seller didn’t know if his brother made any changes to the instrument gauge or not.

I was wondering, if I purchase a OBD2, will it find the cause of this error (mechanical or electrical issue).

thank you

Aftermarket alarm or radar detector?

That could be possible, since radar is popular during 2003.

Thank you

Radar (and lasers) are still "popular".

Thank you all for your info. I’ve found the cause for the chirping sound. It is an older model of K40 radar and I think I’ll find sometime to delete it.

Just disconnect the power to it.  K40 systems are overly expensive dramatically underperforming detector systems (look up some of the independent reviews of the system); you can do much better for a lot less $.

Yeah should be fairly easy to locate the brains and as JFP said disconnect the power. Maybe just pull the fuse since who knows if someone else might want that in the future.
