Hey everyone:

I have a 2014 Cayenne. The latch to release the lid for the center console broke. Now, I can't open the compartment.
I did not find any info on YouTube.  I searched this forum but did not find anything relevant.
I found a vendor that is selling the replacement part, but they said it does not come with instructions so that won't help if I can't open the console.

So, I need to know:
1. How do I open the compartment?
2. How do I disassemble the lid to replace the broken latch?

I appreciate any help you all can offer.

Thank you,
Neil

I appreciate your input.  Hopefully, the diagram will help.

Can you also post the parts list which corresponds to it?  Maybe the names of each numbered piece will help.  I think the latch is part 13, but it would help to confirm.

Thank you!

I could not figure out how to open the compartment gracefully so finally I pried it open.

When I did, I broke the latch.

I am considering this problem solved because I don't want to encounter it again.

Thank you for the help Loren!
