'05 987.1 Boxster.  42000 miles, engine temp gauge is reading 0 - with red light on solid, 'instrument failure' message on dash.  Also digital Oil Level gauge  fails to give reading.  Instead reports 'instrument failure'.   Car is not low on oil or coolant.      Failure message and unresponsive gauge wouldn't seem to point to a wiring problem...

Oil Level and Temp sensor?

Is there a fuse I can pull to reset error (I know, wishful thinking)?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to RennTech :welcomeani:

First of all, please do not double post issues, it is against forum rules.

As I noted in response to your other posting on this problem, you either have a wiring issue or a sensor failure.  Pulling the fuse or disconnecting the battery will do nothing as the problem will still be there unrepaired.  And, as the sensor and its connector are underneath the intake system, part of the intake will need to be removed to access it and replace it if the wiring is fine.
