Cant get my new keys to work on my car (the remote function)

i have no problem with the immobilizer.

I have a boxster S -00 US spec but Euro spec keys..

Has the US boxster S alarm as standard? if so wich version?

My Euro remote say 433MHZ on the hand held transmitter, You guys that have a boxster S what does your remote say?

A US alarm system and remote is 315MHZ. In Europe a different frequency is used as you found out.

Even if you have the correct remote the dealer needs to program the remote to your car.

Check your option codes under the front hood.

M524 - 433 MHz drive block alarm (Most of RoW)

M525 - 315 MHz drive block alarm (US/Canada, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong)

Seems like thats the problems then..

My dealer tried to program the Euro key without results

Next step would be to order 315mhz keys, only hope my dealer can program those...

simon, the key itself is not programmed. the car electronics are programmed to accept the key so it shouldn't be a problem for the dealer.
