Hey Guys -

I've got a 2006 Cayenne which seemingly has the original maps in it as they don't even have the street I live on listed.  I'm looking to get new maps online and have read that a firmware update may be required but that its often included on the discs, itself.  Seemingly, I have a PCM2 system and the model of the navigation unit is BE6693.  The problem is, I've found so many PCM2 versions that I don't know what I need to get!  I'd assume that I can only upgrade PCM2 to the latest PCM2 version as PCM2.1+ requires different hardware.  Below is some info I noted from my unit.  Any information would be appreciated!

SW Versions: 4.1 (displayed at top of each page)

Unit: PCM - Target 06324AD1/3206 / Actual: 06324AD1/3206

Unit: System Software - Target 06324AD1/3206 / Actual: 06324AD1/3206

Unit: Amplifier - Target 00016457/3804 / Actual: 00016457/3804

Unit: CD Changer - Target C38/3003 / Actual C38/3003

Unit: Navigation System - Target (null) / Actual 00179436/3306

PS:  I live in the US 🙂

Thanks!

If you have an '06 you have a PCM2.1, PCM2.0 was in the '03-'04 model year. Here is a thread on updating the PCM2.1, I think Porsche quit supporting it with upgraded maps/firmware a few years ago. I'm sure a 2010 or later maps and firmware would do yours good if you can find on in Ebay or somewhere. It has a 997 part number since the PCM hardware was shared with the 911 of comparable years.

997 Forum - Navigation Map Update for 997.1 - PCM 2.1 - I just picked up one of these map updates - I think the last time I'd updated my maps was 2009 or so. The package comes with a CD marked PCM 2.1 Mulitmedia Update CD Navigation as well as CDs marked PCM...
