996 video w/cat bypass pipes

Hi Guys-

Go to this url www.garagenut.com and just refresh the page to watch the video. I posted this for all those of you considering getting cat bypass pipes. The video is of my 99' 996 Tip/stock mufflers and headers with Fab Speed Cat Bypass Pipes. They added a bunch of torque and took quite a bit off my 0-60 time. Worth the money.

Are you getting a CEL with the cat bypass pipes? How hard is it to install/remove? Or if a shop did it, how much time do they quote and what was the charge?

Thanks!

I used to have the exhaust bypass pipes from fabspeed. Lossing weight along made my car handle and perform better. However it was way too loud and I ended it up taking it out. I was wondering how loud your car is with the cat bypass pipes?

if u go with fabspeed mufflers and cat bypass pipes, you will shed as much weight as with the muffler bypasses. (25 lbs from the mufflers and like 20 pounds from the cats) and it won't be as loud. worth a shot perhaps?

Yes I did get a CEL but the car runs great. They are very easy to install with common hand tools and anyone with average mechanical abilities can do it. The pipes retail for about $500 from Fab Speed and they also look great from behind the car (very high quality stainless steel).
