Looking for electrical expertise for an issue on my 2001 996 c2. After re-keying the car for a  different reason, I lost power to most of my accessories; trunk, engine compartment lights, door and map reading floor lights and few other accessories. I believe has to be a relay or control unit. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Most likely the control boxes have returned to factory settings after the work which has been carried out. Run the "Vehicle handover" program using a PIWIS tool and you should be fine.

Thank you! Unplugging the box underneath the driver’s seat and plugged back, restored power to all accessories. What a relief as I was stressed out!

Not familiar with the PIWIS tool you talked about, is it a computer diagnostics tool?

thank you again!

Welcome to RennTech :welcomeani:

PIWIS is the Porsche factory diagnostics system, and is only available as a lease for $20,000 for the first year.

Jose,

Thanks for posting,  did you disconnect the battery when you unplugged the box under the drivers seat ?  I have a similar problem with my 2002 996 cab
