Can someone please verify if this is correct for a 3.6L 3-chain motor:

When the crank is set to TDC, the smaller half-moons on the ends of (say) Bank-1 cams will be relatively opposite to the half-moons on the Bank-2 cams.

For example if they are oriented toward the outside on Bank-1 looking at the front (pulley end) of the motor, they should be oriented toward the inside on Bank-2 looking at the back (flywheel end) of the motor.

Conversely, if the smaller half-moons are facing inward on Bank-1 viewed from the front, they should be facing outward on Bank-2 viewed from the back.

TDC for a given bank will have a larger "half-moon" on the crankcase side and smaller on the valve cover side.

Yes, but when I'm at TDC, and one bank has a small half-moon facing the valve cover side, what should I see on the other bank (without moving the crankshaft)?  Large half-moon facing the valve cover side or small half-moon?

I think large.
