Replacing Drivers Side Mirror- incompatible connector issue

After living with a chunk out of my driver's side mirror for several years, I found a replacement in white on ebay, and it was delivered. It cleaned up well, but there is a problem. THe new mirror, supposedly also from a 2006, has a 16 pin connector, but my existing mirror only has a ten pin connector. I am guessing if i could see a wiring diagram, I could take the appropriate wires from the new unit, and connect them to the wires into the plug of the old unit. The new mirror has the courtesy light, my base Cayenne did not have courtesy lights on the mirror. Just heat, and mirror movement, of course. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe I should look for the inside control switch, that connect to the 16 pin plug, but I don't know the part number.

I may have found my solution. After looking at this PelicanParts tutorial on removing the driver's side door panel, it appears that the 16 pin female connector actually connects to a connector inside the door, and the 10 pin connector comes from a line inside the door to that mirror switch in the small panel at the top of the door.
