I have this ticking noise that increases and decreases with RPM. I was told its a failed cat, that the biscuit inside had become loose and is the cause of the tick. I installed new cats today on both sides and the ticking is still there. Ill try to get a video clip of it. But if anyone has expeirienced this please let me know. I got the car back from a reputable porsche specialist shop on tuesday and after an IMS, RMS, AOS, coils, plugs, engine mounts, and a couple other routine services the car was given a 100% clean bill of health.

You had a lot of work done on the car at one time.  One thing to check is to make sure all the spark plugs are tight.  Any CEL?

I agree with DBJoe996. I changed my plugs and coils and a day later had a ticking sound with no performance impact. I never would have expected a loose plug. However, I got back under the car and checked each plug in the bank and that turned out to be the problem.

Yes, it was clear the plug was loose. Apparently, I had not torqued to spec. I got my torque wrench out and made sure I 22ft lbs of torque on the plugs.
