I was doing a 30K service on my MY00 over the weekend and after checking my steering fluid it was at the bottom of the dipstick.

I wanted to know where I can buy the Pentosin CHF 11 S, locally?

Thanks in advance!

Yep, due to my leaky power steering rack I am on the third liter. I was buying it from the BMW parts place near San Jose Custom Cycles for $24 a liter but that place just closed. A few weeks ago I was at Stevens Creek and someone bought it and I think it was even less from Porsche, believe it or not. It is also used by Mercedes.

Henry Yee has a new can that I do not think he will need. I went with him to the BMW place a few months ago to buy it. Or, I can give you a shot or two from my can. The reservoir is so small you only need 1 or 2 ounces.

Hey Jeff!

Sounds good, when can we get together so I can get a couple gulps from you?

The audi/vw stuff is the same. It does not say it in big lettters but if you read the fine print it is the same stuff. Do not know about the price but it is probably cheaper.

3 Boxstirs in the parking spaces in front of my office buiding. All silver.

If someone in the complex complains that we are working on cars then the story is we all have dead batteries and need to jump start 3 cars at the same time.

Boxsterguy's cd changer went into my car, and my changer in his car. His changer did not work in my car. My changer worked in his car. Swap cd cartridges. Same result. Looks like his replacement changer is bad.

Ray got his Pentosin shot.

I believe that Pentosin CH11S is the same as VW/Audi's G002000. It is more expensive to buy the VW stuff than to buy Pentosin. I think I bought mine locally at Griffin Motorwerke in Berkeley for about $14 for my VW when I had a slight power steering leak. But that was about 4 years ago. I'll swing by and see if they still carry it and how much it is.
