MY2015 Cayenne diesel started to show "battery protection..." warning. And Navi system started to turn off and on by itself every few minutes. Battery may need to be replaced. But would that fix the navigation system issue? I would be grateful if you could share your experience/knowledge.

My 2011  cayenne turbo had a similar problem with the pcm would reboot and after I replaced the battery it has not done it.  I replaced the battery about 12 months ago.  Never got Battery protection warning though.

Thank you. Battery or fuse was my guess but I wasn't ready to drop down $400 battery not knowing other case studies.

Here’s the fix for the Navi issue. Porsche sent an email out also with these instructions. Below.

I’ve seen battery protection come on after the car sat for a week. Maybe it shuts off features to conserve the battery.

Thank you for your input. This is useful to know. I may try this no expense fix first.
