Hi,

I have a 1985 boxter pdk gear box and occasionally when I put my foot down it will go then loose power and the revs drop for a second then all comes back and it’s fine. Only intermittent

it does it more when it’s building up to temperature

thoughts please. I’ve head could be a throttle sensor

 cheers. Alex

Welcome to RennTech :welcomeani:

While I seriously doubt you actually have a 1985 Boxster with a PDK, similar complaints have been addressed by reprogramming the PDK, which would require the factory PIWIS system to accomplish.

Sorry 2005 boxter. It’s only occasionally but completely looses all throttle response then comes back. More on a corner like a roundabout

I would still have the car checked to see if the PDK has the latest software.  Most of these issues seem to be related to that.

2005 Boxster should have a ZF Tiptronic transmission or a manual gearbox, are you sure about the build date?

Hi it’s a 2005 55 plate 2.7 with an auto box 5 speed

cheers

Which means it is a Tiptronic, not a PDK transmission, which also means my software suggestion is moot.

Just start cleaning the throttle body and air mass meter, CRC sells a special aerosol product for this purpose, available from board sponsor Sunset. The throttle body can be done with brake cleaner.
