The volume changes when you're driving is very subtle. I have the bose on mine. When I start the car the volume is pretty low. But when I start moving it gradually gets louder and after that the changes cant even be noticed.

You might want to try lowering and closing the top. That seems to effect the volume to a point where you can actually notice a change. And +7 is is the main volume you are talking about if I am not wrong. You can only turn the speed sensitive volume on or off. The rest is automatic.

Gary,

I belive when you refer to "7" you are talking about the GAL setting. This tells the head unit at what rate of speed to begin automatically adjusting the volume. I keep mine set on 1 so that it begins at low speeds. The easiest way I have found to demonstrate that this adjustment is working is set your volume to a normal listening level while your sitting still. The adjustment is so subtle, you will not notice it as you accelerate. Once your at highway speed, press the eject button so that the face plate flips open as if you were going to load a CD. Once the face plate is open, the automatic volume control is defeated. Closing the face plate will reactivate the setting.
