Hello,

GREAT forum!  I just bought a '97 Boxster and see 0765 written a couple times on the manual, but no sure reference to radio code.  I installed new dash speakers yesterday and they worked until I hit a bump.  Turned off the radio and they came back on...only to go out again.  I want to remove the radio to see if a connection is loose, but want to verify radio code.  I followed your directions and have:

Model # R2896

Serial# V5007697

Any help?  Any reason for dash speakers to not work, but doors do?

Thank you so much for any direction.

I’m 2nd owner of 99 986 Boxster that had a radio exchanged under warranty. Their paper work did not have the new unlock code on it.

I replace battery and guess what. The radio serial number label is below.
