Well having just purchased a 2002 Boxster S to modify a bit, the first thing I did was search the internet for forums to join. 

My first find was thing one and the first thread I noticed potentially has an answer to my first problem - a locked stereo!

 

Loren, if you can help it will be really appreciated by this new member!

For some reason the "wait" display doesnt go away after 30 min or longer now. I had tried a couple of codes prior to posting. I hope I didnt permanently lock it.

Please READ and follow the procedure in the Lost Radio code FAQ for your exact radio model.

Just got my 996 back yesterday after an engine replacement.  Unfortunatly they disconnected the battery and now no more tunes.  The engine is nice to listen to finally so not that upset. :-)

That worked, unfortunately, I learned one of the knobs on the new unit isn't working..the wifey will test it out and see how annoying a partially working tuner knob is.  I may be back if we swap it out!

Tried several codes already from this forum. Took a super long time to get the "WAIT" to go away.

Hi, just bought a 996 c2 and can't find codes. Asked previous owner and they don't know either. Type: 4367. Serial: x5014127 would be very much appreciated if you could help. Cheers
