Hi, I purchased a 2001 996 cdr220 from a guy on ebay and this idiot took the serial number sticker off the unit.

Is there any way to retrieve the serial numbers on this radio ie. inside somewhere on the circuit board etc?

I would hate to trash the unit I just bought.

Thanks.

Just follow the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ?

Hey, usual story, my battery went flat and no code in the manual, so tried a few codes now got a WAIT displayed. So while I wait thought I'd better request my code instead of guessing.

*Sigh* Well I'm an idiot. I had two cards in my pocket, each with a pair of 4 and 8 digit numbers. The "serial" number above is actually the PUK for my cell phone's SIM card. The real serial number I need the code for is 25011232 . Thank you again in advance.
