My battery died over the winter and I just replaced it yesterday. Now, I need the security code for my radio. Problem is I don't have the Becker # & serial number because nothing shows up when I tried the TPS instructions on the CD/radio dashboard so I tried removing the radio that did not work.

I purchased the car over a year now from a private owner - only to find that they they did not include the radio security code.

A) Question - In the Maintenance manual there is a VIN lable with a list of codes 1) VIN#  2) Type/Type description 3)Engine code/transmission code  4) paint no./interior 5) Optional equipment

>>>>>Could the Becker # or serial number be in the Optional equipment lists  ?

B) In the Tequipment Boxster Accessories for the boxster there is a porsche cd/radio part# 000 044 901 05 can I get the Becker # or serial number from this part number?

( CDR 220 / CR 220 cd/radio )

1999 porsche boxster (986 / 310) - vin# WP0CA298xXU625183

Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ (and follow the directions there) - all your answers are in there.
