Hi

I just bought a 996 C2 with CR-21 and had to unplug the battery for door panel removal. I didn't realize the CR-21 would require a code afterwards, and unfortunately the previous owner never had to deal with that so no code.

Highly appreciated if Loren can help, this is what i got from the unit:

Becker

R 2097

V5007232

Thanks,

Thanks for your quick reply. 4756 does not work either. Shall I go supplicate the Dealer?

What is the model name/number on the front of the radio please?

The radio head/screen has no number, just a top cassette slot labelled 'Porsche PCM'.

Unit in console below the dash but above the AC is a CD slot labelled 'Porsche Navigation' (which displays but does not navigate)

The screen requesting codes has two lines, the top labelled 'PCM' (which I assumed was for the radio) and the bottom 'Nav System'

This is why folks should read the Lost Radio Code FAQ -- FIRST.

"Can you give me a code for my PCM?

These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM's require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested.Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC."
