sooo I waited a 2.5hours (after trying it at 1 and 1.5hrs) with the car turned off and the keys out and the WAIT is still on. Hmmm. Searched other threads and do not see any recommendations. Ideas?

I drove to the dealer to get the code and ask about the WAIT that would not stop. They said that the key had to be in the car, in the on position for 60+ minutes to reset. Hope that helps someone else.

They said that they could not just look up the radio code with either the serial or the vin. It would take a tech's hour = $100. They did call the dealer where I bought the car used to see if they had the code-no luck. So I will just try a few codes for a couple days and decide if I go pay $100 this weekend.

You need to give us your radio serial number not your car's VIN.

If you read through some of the posts here (in this thread) you see how to get your serial number to display.

oh wow i found the # on the model cdr-210 by holding down the 8 and 0 buttons then toggling the tuner button to the serial # (not in the manual) unlike the cdr-220 where the tp button is present for the user to access in lock mode #wso19086
