Becker 2582

Type: IDIS

Serial No.: Y5007717

Thanks

From the FAQ...

"Can you give me a code for my PCM (or Traffic Pro)?

Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM (or Traffic Pro) code is from a dealer/OPC."

Posted

Got one for a MY 99' I am trying to figure out..

Tp. Pcm

Mod BE 2562

Ser X5008164

Anyone?

TIA!

With all due respect, your question has been answered in the

previous post, and in the FAQ post.

However, I'll offer some advice for your benefit and the

community.

Although I haven't seen BE2562 specifically, it belongs to the

range of navigation systems BE2560, BE2580 and BE2582. These

units are all manufactured jointly between Becker and Siemens

These units require two codes. The first one requested is the

Siemans code, to unlock Sieman's protection. The second code

requested, unlocks Beckers protection. You will notice two

serial numbers on the unit - Siemens and Becker.

Only Porsche, Alfa Romeo and Lancia have access to the Siemans codes

based on Siemens serial number. Access to this database is not

available from any other source.

So, the best advice is to contact Porsche, where they will provide

both the Siemens code and the Becker code.

I'm saying all this, because I've heard of these units being

unintentionally LOCKED through owners entering

multiple Becker codes for the first code requested. In this

situation it may be very difficult for the main dealer to help

you, or at least very expensive.

So the short answer is... contact Porsche. And the long answer

............is still the same

Cheers.

Hey Patrick

You're very welcome.

It may interest you to know, that fellow member c377cc 's

code was also 6765 - three pages back.

(How's that for a coincidence?)

Cheers.

Going to have some work done that may involve disconnecting the battery, I think it maybe a good idea to have it just in case.

My serial number is WSO18669, thank you ahead of time. Oh, and it's a Becker CDR-210.

Try 9928

or

9926

Okay, I just recently disconnected the battery, and after reconnecting, I tried both of those and they don't work, perhaps my serial number is actually W5018669? Would that yield different results? The digital display makes it weird to decipher the serial number. Again, thanks in advance!

Get the real serial number using the procedure in the FAQ.
