I have 1999, Boxster. Would you be able to get me the code for it. I bought the car used and never heard the radio on in it. I had to get a new battery when I got the car. Becker CDR 220, Model BE 4462, serial#X5020315. I would be very thankfull. :D

I have a 2000 Boxster and had the same problem. At first they told me they would have to remove the radio and get some numbers off the back... but, I ended up calling the local Porsche dealership (Boardwalk Porsche in Plano TX) and they walked me through it. I can't remember exactly (I should have written it down)- but I pulled over into a parking lot for about 5 minutes to follow the mechanic's instructions and then I was back on the road. Good luck!

Those two codes # did not work, if I can't get it to work then I'll just replace it. Will the radio just start working once the codes have been entered. The car is a 1999 Boxster 2.5 US, LHD 5spd Silver with dark blue interior, not sure if that helps. THANKS

Yes, the radio should work if you get the right code. Please read the FAQ.

Hello,

You have to enter the code then press the tune up button. Also, If Lorens code doesnt work you can also call a Porsche dealership with the vin number to the car and the serial number of the radio they will give you the correct code free of charge over the phone. Hope this helps!

Another lost code

CDR 23

Model BE6611

SN 35018367

TY for the help

Please read the FAQ - CDR-23 does not have a code.

"CDR-23 (or later):

These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters.

These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. Only a dealer or shop with a PST2 or PIWIS tester can replace a MOST bus radio (i.e. CDR-23, CDR-24)."
