I think I saw this discussed before but cant find it.

My rear window( 2004 S ) has decided to continuously unlatch itself. I cant get into the dealer for 5 days to get it fixed . any ideas on how to stop this????

Common problem- quick fix is to disconnect the power to the switch. Don't know how easy it is to access it but shouldn't be too hard. I've had mine replaced once already. It's had several fixes from the factory so far...

Porsche attempted to fix this problem with the W420 service action, but it was found that the updated switch did not fix the problem. When the new part is ready, a new service action will be created and the new (new) switch will be installed.

Does this problem applies to all year-model Cayenne. I just bought a new Cayenne S on Tuesday and found out I have to slam the tailgate window hard in order to have it really really close.

Had my fixed once and it seems to work ok now but did hear from the dealer there is ANOTHER fix for this and I need to bring it in again! I did finally get both keys to work but it took three times. Sometimes it drives me crazy (as the towing module stil doesn't work right and Porsche can't fix it so my trailer lights work correctly) but I love driving the thing!! Wonder if the Audi Q7 will eat into Cayenne sales though...looks pretty impressive.

W559 recall will fix this.

The tip switch triggers because it has water in it and throws out the voltage polarity. The new switches have a silicone filled casing.
