I am trying to find instructions on how to remove my tiptronic console from my 07 Cayman S. I want to check the cable end is secure and not worn as I am getting occasional

Gear selector not engaged

Message on the display. I can find many for the manual box but nothing apart from a great diagram and description of how to get the kn*b off from a person called Loren so I thought I would come here and ask. I only need to get as far as the end of the transmission cable but any info you have on getting this whole thing out without breaking it would be great

Thanks

Justin

That is for a manual console not the tiptronic. The consoles are very different around the shifter. I really don't want to break or damage anything

I am trying to get into the Tiptronic workings not the manual

Thanks for that diagram I am sure it will come in handy.

Thanks for your guidance in this, The Tiptronic is a little different for the first steps but Got it out and I will try to write an addendum that could be added to Lithium1330's excellent article to help us tippy owners attack this with a bit more confidence.

Thanks

BTW can you help me move this to the correct Cayman forum
