I am going to replace the levers for the trunk and engine lid, they are scuffed! I am talking about the levers that are on the left side of the drivers seat. Any advice on how to go about this?

Thanks

Steve

I was told by a dealer employee that the silver handles are no longer available -- and that they are only available in black (I do not know if that is true or not). Once you have the parts please post here what you got. Also, once you have the parts email me and I'll email you the instructions.

You remove the 3 plastic plugs. Then stick in a long allen wrench - I think it was 5mm - and give it about 3 turns. Then you pull it up and out - takes some effort as there are plastic things that hold it down.

This is as far as we went to run wires along the sill - no reason to disconnect the bowden cables. Can't be too hard to figure out how to disconnect the trunk cables. Jeff

Loren, would it be posible to add the instructions in the DIY section? I'm also considering changing them... Lou

Ok...

A DIY is now posted in the Carrera DIY section (same process for Boxsters)
