Looking for some guidance.  Key completely stuck in ignition.  Replaced the $20 electric ignition switch which is behind the ignition cylinder, still doesn't work.  Tried the pin in the hole on the cylinder to remove the whole cylinder and that failed to function.  That is, I couldn't removed the cylinder.  What are my options?  I feel like I was trying to remove the cylinder correctly, but is there a trick to it, that I am not aware of?

There are 2 small screws, sometimes marked by red paint that you need to undo to remove the ignition barrel if that's what you are after. I had to replace mine as the key was starting to jam.It's quite fiddle to get to. Hope this is of some help and good luck.

I think you have to move the key to the acc position then insert the paper clip. Also, remove the rubber grommet between dash and cylinder first. Pelican has the directions as well. I recall getting the cylinder out was a bit wonky, had to fiddle with it a lot before it released. V

On mine, I had to turn the key to the ignition on position first, before inserting a large paper clip down the hole in the barrel. It also helps if the paper clip is a very straight one otherwise it jams in the hole or doesn’t go all the way in. The end of the pin or paper clip also needs to be rounded off with a nail file,  rather than having a square or flat end on it. That way it will slip into the locking paul groove easier to release it. As discussed above, Pelican Parts have some very good info on this at:

The ignition switches on these cars is very prone to failure. Porsche redesigned the part and everyone will probably eventually have to upgrade...
