Hi everyone,

Dont know if anyone can help I have a misfire on my cayenne 3.2 v6 2006, I plugged in the diagnostic and said misfire cylinder 2 an coil b primary/secondary circuit I replaced all the spark plugs and replaced the coil pack and was completely find from there was done few days ago,

 

Last night misfire happened again an came up with misfire cylinder  2 an random misfire and cylinder  4 an 6

P0304

P0306

 

Could it be the gaping in the plugs? Or do I need to replace all the coil packs?

P0300 is multiple misfires.

P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected

P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected

P0306 Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected

 

Possible cause of fault
♦ Improper handling of a block heater


Fault in ignition system:
♦ Mechanical or electrical fault in spark plug
♦ Spark plug connector faulty
♦ Bar ignition module faulty


Fault in fuel/air mixture:
♦ Tank filled with incorrect fuel quality
♦ Tank driven empty
♦ Mechanical or electrical fault in injection valve
♦ Oxygen sensor faulty
♦ Fuel filter soiled
♦ Mechanical fault in fuel pump


Fault in exhaust system:
♦ Catalytic converter damaged (flow severely restricted)
♦ Kink in exhaust pipe
♦ Muffler faulty (flow severely restricted)

 

Fault in valve drive:

♦ Fault in timing adjustment of inlet camshaft (VarioCam)
♦ Outlet camshaft timing incorrect
♦ Hydro push rod faulty
♦ Valve seat or valve faulty


Fault in intake system:
♦ Leak in intake distributor

 

P0352 Bar ignition module on cylinder 2

 

Possible cause of fault
The wiring might contain the following faults:
♦ Open circuit in signal wire
♦ Short circuit to B+ in signal wire
♦ Short circuit to ground in signal wire
♦ Short circuit to B+ in ground lead
♦ Open circuit in ground lead
♦ Open circuit in power supply line
♦ Short circuit to ground in power supply line
♦ Incorrect assignment of ground lead and positive lead


Following components can be affected:
♦ Bar ignition module faulty
♦ DME control module faulty

 

In my experience if you have one bad coil pack it is best to change them all.

Thank you so much,

I think it is the coil packs I have replaced all the plugs few days ago I've just ordered 6 coil packs so hopefully that will work. I'll also get a couple of oxygen sensors aswell

I have similar codes on 2007 GT3 and would be best  to post on same thread

Notice all on the codes  misfire on the same bank 

I also sometimes smell strong fuel from exhaust after driving for around an hour hence i suspect car has been running rich.

 

only today, i had two occurrences of check engine flashing for around 15 seconds and then disappeared

 

Now i have no active check engine dashboard

 

could you guide me on where  to  start looking?

Since all misfire occurred on the same bank, seems reasonable to start with the valve drive and O2 sensors
