Afterr driving 80 miles, i went to roll up the window and had no power. I then tried to close the sunroof and also had no power. I pulled into a gas station and turned the ignition off. I checked my fuses and nothing was blown. i then tried to start the car and nothing. when I turn the key, everything comes on, but it won't turn over. Upon further investigation, the power windows, sunroof, interior lights, visor lights, door locks, both the front trunk and rear engine lid have no power. I tried jumping the front trunk with another battery and nothing. The key will not unlock the doors or the front trunk. it seems as if the car thnks the alarm is on, but its not. I had it towed home and was able to get into the front trunk via removing the right fender well. i have disconected the battery and still nothing, the battery is perfect. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

First, please tell us details of your car (MY, model, any mods, etc.).  Then I suggest you get the codes read using either Durametric or one of the Porsche diagnostic tools.  There are many possible events that could cause these symptoms from bad ground strap to immobilizer went bad.  Start with the codes.

Possibly a bad ignition switch.

Turns out that the immobilzer went out. i have since had the immobilzer repaired at ECU Specialties. plugged everything back in and  now im getting the P1502 code upon start up, the 996TT runs rough and has no throttle. I towed it to the dealership and they want $2650 for a new throttle body, but will not guarantee it will fix the problem. I have been searching the web and this P1502 code seems to happen to many cars after their battery goes dead or the DME is removed from the cars for an extended period of time.

any ideas?

Help??

P1502: Throttle jacking unit, spring test, above limit.

Diagnostic conditions:
Ignition on approx. 30 seconds.
Stationary vehicle.
Engine not running.
Engine temperature greater than 5C.
Intake air temperature greater than 5C.

Possible fault causes:
Throttle part.

Diagnosis/troubleshooting:

Replace throttle part.
Erase fault memory.
Perform adaptation: Switch on ignition. Wait one minute. Actuate accelerator pedal. Switch off ignition for at least 10 seconds. Read out fault memory.
