Hi,

I connected the Durametric scanner since my airbag light ha been on for a while. (I forget we had one)  I cleared the codes but the light came back on.  The codes shown are:

23 Belt tensioner Driver

25 Belt tensioner Passenger

64 Seat Occupancy Detector Passenger

72 Child Seat Detector

Can anyone provide any info as to what the issue I need to look at?   I've read that the contacts at the buckle and the plug under the seat can oxidize so I will get some cleaner to spray on them.

Thanks,

Judi

Porsche produced a TSB for this.

Chances are you have bad grounds under the seats and/or worn/dirty seat belt buckles.

If the TSB (for the grounds) has been done then likely that your buckles are worn out.

I've read the TSB and it applies to codes 45, 46, 48, 49.

It reads there was a production change (8/27/99) for Zuffenhausen production from  WP0...YS620308. My car is 620317.

Would the codes still be triggered if the latches were not inserted into the buckles?

Thanks, Judi
