Hi!

First post. i hope i did it in the right place.

I'm currently looking for an easy way to connect my phone to the stock PCM 1 (becker BE 2580) analog stereo. Currently im using a BT radio transmitter. But it doesn't look nice and sometimes it gets interfered by real radio stations while driving.

I have found these options:

1. My preferred option. Manual AUX in which over-rides and disables the CD-changer

This i'd like to do, but the guides i've seen on youtube is the PCM1 stereo without NAV, i have the nav version and it seems to include holding TP button for 8 seconds to change it to AUX in. I dont have a TP button on mine and i dont know what other Button to press (no manual)

2. Probably the best solution is the loudlink BT hands free kit. but its $200.

3. I have found the iSimple is31 (pure aux) or isimple bluetooth

These seems to be good where as the is31 is only for AUX and the bluetooth also can act as handsfree. But the BT is $100+ and im not sure if i like to spend that much.

So question is, anyone did manual AUX input over-riding the cd changer? How did you do it?

I bought a £20 CD-Changer port-> Bluetooth+AUX on Ebay. lets see how it works. supposedly BT 4.0.

This will disable my CD-changer but i dont mind. i have a larger library on spotify.

It seems PCM1 does not have an AUX mode. I will be trying this: (basically keeping cd changer connected)

996 Forum - Aux input on CDR 220 - I have installed an AUX cable to my C2 2002 but I am having trouble to make the final settings. I have navigation so I guess that means that I have a Becker CDR 220. I have read on several...

I can say that this worked fine. The middle connector for the CD changer needs to be connected ad all times. When its connected, pressing CD , the cd will start playing. I have an 80min blank cd running. I then simply took the left, right and audio ground from the bluetooth dongle and connected it instead of the CD changer. After this, all thats needed is the 12v+ground to the cd changer (i cut the cables for those to connect to cig-plug outlet). all is working fine. Slight hissing sound, dont know why though. Because there cant be interference from the CD since there is no sound coming out from the CD since its disconnected..
